Date: Thursday, 10 October

Venue: AHETA – Associação de Hotéis e Empreendimentos Turísticos do Algarve

Caminho Q.ta da Bolota 4, 8200-314 Albufeira

Cities cover 1% of the Earth’s surface, are home to 55% of the world population, and generate about 80% of the global combined GDP. In spite of COVID-19, cities across the world have continued to grow at unprecedented levels, particularly in emerging markets. It is expected that they will attract an additional 2 billion people by 2050.

However, cities face immense and unrivalled environmental and social challenges that urgently need to be dealt with, but the investment to tackle them is immense, both in developed and emerging economies.

But cities can also be the solution. To future-proof them, we will need to rely on all stakeholders working together and leveraging technology to address these exceptional challenges if they are to become centres of opportunity, of innovation, and of economic growth.

Join us, for the 3rd Edition of The Future Cities Summit, to be held in the Algarve, as we discuss such pressing issues.

This year’s edition, held in the Algarve aims to address challenges that particularly affect the southern area of Portugal, such as Water Managemente & Energy Efficiency with a clear focus on the Tourism Industry.
